Calibration method and maintenance of dissolved oxygen instrument

The dissolved oxygen instrument is a polarographic instrument which is designed for the measurement of PPB grade dissolved oxygen, such as boiler water supply and condensate. The stability and accuracy of the (super) low concentration are ensured, and the measurement performance and the use environment are greatly improved. The dissolved oxygen instrument (2) is used for continuous monitoring of dissolved oxygen in chemical chemical fertilizer, metallurgy, environmental protection, pharmaceutical, biochemical, food and tap water.


The dissolved oxygen instrument has the characteristics of convenient installation, long calibration period (3~4 months), insensitivity to other substances and so on, and can monitor the use of electrolytes in plastic film and probes. Generally, electrolytes and mulching films are changed every one to three years.


The dissolved oxygen instrument can be calibrated by standard liquid or field sampling. Standard solution calibration method for the dissolved oxygen instrument: standard solution calibration is usually calibrated by two points, namely, zero point calibration and range calibration. The zero point calibration solution can use 2% Na2SO3 solution. The range calibration solution can choose 4 M of KCl solution (2 mg/L) and 50% methanol solution (21.9 mg/L) according to the measuring range of the instrument. The field sampling calibration method (Winkler method) of the dissolved oxygen meter: in the actual use of the dissolved oxygen instrument, the Winkler method is used to calibrate the dissolved oxygen analyzer in the field.


Use this method when there are two: the sampling instrument readings for the M1 analysis value is A, calibrating the meter when the meter reading is M1, then only the meter reading can be equal to A; when sampling the meter reading M1, laboratory analysis of calibration value is A, when the meter reading is M2 to change this will not be able to adjust the instrument, meter reading is equal to A, and should be adjusted to 1MA * M2 readings.


The maintenance of the electrode of the dissolved oxygen instrument should be cleaned for 1~2 weeks. If there are pollutants on the diaphragm, the measurement error will be caused. Be careful when cleaning, do not damage the diaphragm. The electrode dissolved oxygen meter in water washing, such as dirt can not wash, carefully scrub with a soft cloth or cotton. The zero point and range of the electrode of an oxygen meter should be rechecked in 2~3 month.

The regeneration of the electrode is about 1 years or so. When the range of measurement is not adjusted, it is necessary to regenerate the dissolved oxygen electrode. The regeneration of the electrode includes the replacement of the internal electrolyte, the replacement of the diaphragm and the cleaning of the silver electrode. If the silver electrode is observed to have oxidation, it can be polished with fine sand paper.


In use, if the electrode leakage is found, the electrolyte must be replaced. Refer to the above said, the use of dissolved oxygen meter to buy back is not to be used correctly, it is important to maintain, there are a lot of customers do not use the buy back in after there is a problem, is the most technical personnel when taking electrode accidentally ran into the film first broke the film, so as a result of customers and suppliers over the negotiations and turnover of repair, therefore, can do regular care when in use, will avoid a lot of unnecessary trouble.
